Welcome back! We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year! In this letter is an outline of the work we will be covering in the coming term.

English
In English, we will be reading 'The Abominables' by Eva Ibbotson.
We will be writing to entertain by writing poetry using figurative language. As well as this, we will be learning how to write to inform by writing newspaper reports. 

Maths
In Maths, we will be continuing to develop our multiplication and division learning. Additionally, towards the end of the term, we will start to look at length, area and perimenter. 

Topic
This term we will be continuing our topic work based around the question ‘What Did The Romans Ever Do For Us?’. The children will be learning more about Roman life and the changes they made to Britain. We will be looking at the foundation of the Roman Empire and how the Romans lived. We will also be visiting the Roman Baths to help bring all of our topic learning to life – more information will follow
